New Officers Elected at Annual Meeting

A great welcome to the 2012 Chapter Advisory Executive Committee who were elected at our Annual Meeting in October.  Our officers are (left to right):  Gene Barker, President; Vonda Snope, 1st Vice President - Education and Programs; Sandy Cagle, 2nd Vice President - Membership; Shirley Lee, Secretary; and Lucine Lane, Treasurer.  As the new Executive CAB begins planning for our next year, you can be assured that the programs, events and other benefits for us as Olympia Chapter ASG members will be exciting and rewarding.

The next CAB Meeting is January 8, 2012 - 1 to 3 PM at the Central Pierce Fire and Rescue Station 66 located at 9813 128th St E, Puyallup.  All members are welcome and Neighborhood Group Leaders are encouraged to attend.

March 1 - 4, 2012

For our 3rd year, the Olympia Chapter will be hosting a Fashion Show on the free stage in the Showplex at 11:30 a.m. on March 3 (Saturday).  We will be joined by members from 5 other chapters, but models are still needed, as well as others who are interested in helping out behind the scenes.  Contact Vonda Snope if you are interested in participating.


Lorraine Torrence
Wearable Art and Quilts
May 5 & 6, 2012

Lorraine will teach "Collage and Curves" techniques as applied to quilts or wearable art jacket or vest.  Students (limited to 24) will use their own simply styled jacket or vest pattern which they know will fit for the wearable art.

The cost for members is $130 until March 1st.  After that, non-members can register for $150 and member's cost will be  $140
